Broadacre crop spraying by drone
Contract spraying by drone for broadacre growers. Herbicide, fungicide and insecticide applied by DJI T100 spray drone, from the Mid West to Esperance. No trampled crop, no compaction, no bogged sprayer, and a spray record for every job.
From $35/ha on open broadacre · rough country quoted per job
Why spray broadacre by drone
No wheel tracks
A mid-season ground pass typically costs about 2.5% of yield in the tracks alone, and more later in the season. A drone leaves the crop standing.
Spray when the crop needs it
Wet paddocks, soft country and closing spray windows don't stop a drone. We work from the truck at your gate.
Right to the edges
Under powerlines, around trees, dams and the house paddock, where a plane has to pull up.
Into the canopy
Rotor downwash pushes spray down into the crop rather than leaving it on the top leaves.
What we spray
- Herbicides: early post-emergent, in-crop and crop-topping, where the label allows aerial application.
- Fungicides: blackleg and sclerotinia in canola, and leaf disease in cereals at flag leaf.
- Insecticides: aphids, budworm and other pests through spring.
- Crops: wheat, barley, oats, canola, lupins and pulses.
How a job runs
- You send the paddocks, product, timing and nearest clean water.
- We quote, then map the paddock boundaries and hazards.
- We spray at your label rate, usually around 28 L/ha.
- You get a spray map and application record after the job.
FAQ
Common questions
What crops can you spray?
Wheat, barley, oats, canola, lupins and pulses, with any product whose label or APVMA permit allows aerial application.
Do I need to be there on the day?
Not necessarily. We need gate access, clean water and confirmation of the product and any hazards. We’ll ring when we arrive and send the spray record afterwards.
How many hectares can you do in a day?
Over 100 ha a day on open country, depending on wind, water rate and paddock layout. For a big program we can bring in more drones.
Where we work
Perth-based, working from Geraldton to Esperance. Further afield by arrangement.
Ready to book a job?
