Drone spraying in the Wheatbelt

From Moora and Dalwallinu in the north to Lake Grace in the south, we spray across the heart of WA's cropping country. Summer weeds after harvest, in-crop herbicide, fungicide and insecticide through winter and spring, and wet paddocks in big rain years.

Spraying in the Wheatbelt

Close to Perth

The Wheatbelt is our closest region, so travel costs are lower and we can often get out at short notice.

Summer weeds

After harvest we're spraying melons, fleabane and other summer weeds across Wheatbelt stubbles.

Wet years

When winter rain bogs ground rigs, we keep in-crop spraying on schedule.

Spraying through the Wheatbelt year

Wheatbelt cropping runs from the higher-rainfall west around Northam and York out to the drier east past Merredin, and south to Narrogin and Lake Grace. Most of our work here is wheat, barley, canola and lupins, and the jobs follow the season.

  • December to March: summer weed control after harvest, especially after summer storms bring up melons, fleabane and windmill grass in stubble.
  • April to June: knockdown and early post-emergent herbicide around seeding.
  • July to September: in-crop herbicide, fungicide and insecticide, and wet paddocks in big rain years when ground rigs bog in low-lying country.
  • September to October: crop-topping and late insect sprays where the label allows aerial application.

Because the Wheatbelt is close to Perth, travel costs are lower and short-notice jobs are easier to fit in. Group bookings with neighbours in the same district still bring the cost down further.
